Here is a piece of information about my participation in a cricket match. 

On Sunday last, our Class had to play against Class XI in the Inter-Class Cricket Tournament. We won the toss and went to bat first. We scored 79 for the loss of all wickets. My score was 17 with one boundary. Our opponents next started excellently and scored freely. When the play stopped for the tea, their score was 42 for no loss. But the opposite party lost seven wickets after adding eighteen runs only. We managed to get two more wickets when the total runs was 75. The match became exciting. The last batsman knocked a 'four', bringing the total of his team on a par with ours. But fortune finally favoured Class XI. A 'single' settled the victory. 

I think you will quite appreciate our effort and feel sympathy for our defeat.
